Student Suds is proud to offer Housekeeping service in addition to our traditional exterior cleaning services. We specialize in ongoing weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly cleaning service to keep the surfaces within your house sparkling and fresh. We’re happy to customize a cleaning schedule that works for your home.

Who We Hire

All of our cleaners are college students and must meet Student Suds’ high standards. We seek students that have at least a B+ average because students that excel in school tend to be trustworthy, organized, detail oriented, and dependable. Student Suds employees are professionally trained by a certified manager who accompanies them personally to the initial cleaning of your home. Our managers are there to ensure you are fully satisfied, to answer any questions you may have, and to ensure the safety of our employees. Student Suds is bonded and all employees must pass a background security and reliable reference check. Student Suds also carries liability insurance as well as Workers Compensation coverage for all employees.

Scheduling

It is our goal to have the same student cleaner(s) at your house for each cleaning, and when you book ongoing service, we will also reserve the same time slot in the week for you.

Pricing

Tired of having to choose from a never ending list of expensive plans, packages, and convoluted pricing schemes? Student Suds charges $35 per hour, per cleaner. Our rate is typically $10 to $15 less per hour than our competitors. We require no contracts, no advance payments, and take deposits only on moveouts and first time cleanings.

The duration of your cleaning is established the first time we service your home. Once we have a clean base to work with, subsequent service times are typically 1 to 2 hours shorter than your initial clean. We have a 3 hour minimum and you can choose to have different areas of or items in your home cleaned on a rotating basis. Just so you have an idea, a thorough cleaning of a 3 bedroom home with 2 bathrooms usually takes close to 4 hours the first time and 3 hours thereafter.

What We Clean

Our typical housekeeping service includes the following for each area of your home. Custom solutions are also available to suit your particular preferences.

Bathrooms: inside and outside of showers, inside and outside of bathtubs, inside and outside of toilets, sinks, counter tops, outside of cupboards/drawers, mirrors, light fixtures and light plates, baseboards, floors.

Kitchens: outside of cupboards/drawers, stove tops, exhaust fan hoods, inside of microwaves, outside of exposed areas of all appliances, kitchen table and chairs, back splash, counter tops, outside of garbage and inside of lid, sinks (provided there is no dishware present), floors.

All Rooms: non-elevated window sills, door and non-elevated window frame top ledges*, wall socket plates and area*, door knobs and area*, non-elevated general dusting of furniture*, baseboards*, non-elevated mirrors, sweeping and washing hard floors, vacuuming carpeted floors; emptying waste receptacles.

*Denotes services that are usually provided on a rotating basis unless otherwise specified.

Cleaning Products

Student Suds provides, free of charge, a small cleaning kit containing all the cleaning products and supplies necessary to clean your home. If you choose to have regular service, the kit will be kept and used exclusively at your home. All we ask is that you supply your own broom and vacuum. This way, dirt and allergens are not transferred from someone else’s house to yours.

Student Suds uses only environmentally friendly cleaning agents. You can read the short list of eco-friendly ingredients found on the label of each product we use. Instead of trying to make our own products, we opted to support an existing product line that already contains the good stuff. That leaves more time for us to do what we do best… Clean!
