Window Washing?

Window washing is typically done twice a year, once in the spring/summer and again in the fall. Apart from the obvious reason of having clean windows to look through, people get them cleaned on a regular basis to prevent build-up that may later be difficult to remove, to make it easier, and thus, less costly the next time, and to make their home look more attractive and well cared for when it comes time to sell. We wash windows inside and out with a shammy soaked in a mixture of concentrated window cleaner and water. This is followed by a streak-free squeegee rinse, taking care to wipe the edges and sill. We also clean screens. Paper towel is seldom used, as it has been shown to leave lint and streaks caused by the cleaner evaporating to fast in the hot sun. We also restrict the use of poles to reach second storey or hard to reach windows. Some may call this a pane...but we get as close to the window as we can, in order to hand wash it to a streak-free shine. Simply put, you can't clean what you can't see!

Metal Sliding Windows (Older)

Metal sliding windows are inherent of older houses and characterized by having several single paned removable windows on multiple tracks. In order to get at some of the panes, they need to all be removed. Our thorough cleaning of these windows involves removing the panes, hand washing both sides, cleaning the tracks, and replacing them in the same order.
